2024 Sessions will introduce you to:
Lindy Hop
(The original Swing Dance)
*Includes you, your baby, and another caregiver/support person
about the class
This 8-week course is for parents & caregivers with babies (up to approx 24 months) that can be happily held/carried for an hour of dancing.
This course is designed to move at a slower pace to allow for baby care and learning. Participants are allowed to bring a partner, and everyone is taught to both lead and follow.
Tuition covers you, your baby, and your partner (could be a co-parent, grandparent, cousin, friend, etc). Older kids are welcome to join and dance around to the music, but caregivers are responsible for attending to them.
My hopes for these classes is that it will create, connect and grow our new parent community (both on and off the dance floor). Our dancers often like to get together weekly for community dinners.

The skills taught in this class really can last a lifetime. For now, you may just dance with your baby or partner at home. Some may take the extra step of calling a sitter so you can have a nice dancing date night! When you and your babies are ready to go to community dances, you’ll find these skills will enable you to dance with any dancer you’ll meet. And let’s not forget that one day our babies may get married, and wouldn’t it be nice to already know how to dance with them?!

Dancing creates community! We love to go out for dinner and drinks after class!
Have a toddler?
If you’re excited to learn to dance and have a baby that is a little older, please message me! My baby just started walking, and may not tolerate a carrier much longer! Once we have enough interest, I’m happy to create a class that would accommodate free-range waddlers and toddlers! This sort of class would be focused on getting adults dancing together to model for the little ones, but of course we would dance with them if/when they show interest! Families who are returning for another session will receive a 10% discount ($225)

Professional Swing & Blues dance instructor John Lozano (and baby Bodhi) says it’s always a good time to start learning to dance!
After nearly 25 years of dancing and teaching, and now becoming a dad, John wants to combine his two loves by teaching families to dance together!
Social dances (where people often dance with many partners) are based on a culture of respect and care for one another, and these lessons can’t be taught too young.
